Asus Eee PC 1005HA, why the Asus, excellent pieces of Kit, high battery life, mod support for games (in otherwords games that would only run on high spec machines can run on this, e.g halo 2 and on small screen it does run good). Xp or Linux (individual choice), Vista it will run (wait for windows 7, try the free beta from microsoft). Both machines customer services are from across the water (so you will spend years explaining stuff). Also there a lot of support for Eee PC.

P.S if your gonna let other individuals use your pc on xp, get steadystate from microsoft (locks the pc down)
ps. if you use linux, remember to have a internet connection to install software (it is easier). Remember openoffice (free), browser, gimp (free). WINE (windows emulation software)

Hi,
Thanks for the reply theres i can't get the Asus Eee PC 1005HA only out in USA. But i can get the Asus Eee PC 1008HA. The problem is its got an inbuilt battery and only 3 cell battery and not a 6 cell one like the Asus Eee PC 1005HA. Hard to make my mind up probs go with the Asus Eee PC 1008HA. Thanks for your advice anyway rep coming your way.

Why not the 1000HE?

Cause it uses the old N270 processer slightly slower and not that stylish and more heavy. Thanks

Slightly is the right word, you're not going to notice any difference.
