as above, I know you can purchase a lightning cable with a HDMI adaptor which plugs into my Smart TV but am unsure whether you can watch Sky Go through it?

So you want to run Sky Go on the iPad, connect it to your tv and watch it through that? If so, I am pretty sure you can do this with video out cables, or the lightning HDMI if one exists, not sure what the other two posters are on about.

Not possible - you'll get a message that there is no HDMI output. Been there, done that and got the T-shirt.

The 100% feedback saying it's not possible is not enough to convince you?

@RossD89, hopefully a quick google search will convince skusey

I have Apple TV and Airplay won't allow SkyGo, honest.
Desktop PC, laptop but not on the iPad.

I've also tried linking the iPad to a lightning-vga adapter to a vga cable to the vga slot at the back of the tv, with audio cable from the iPad to speakers, but the 'not supporting Hdmi out' message still appeared on the to, even though I didn't use any Hdmi to make the link. If you can link via a PCs or a laptop, what's the point of not letting come from an iPad? If anyone comes up with a solution I'd appreciate not having to fork out on a new laptop.
