Can you recommend a Laser Printer?

Hi everyone,

I'm after a good deal on a laser printer, either Black and White or a Colour if the price is right.

Could anyone recommend a good laser printer for a reasonable price, it must be new.

Could you please tell me if there is a difference between Monochrome and Black & white printers if there is one?

I don't do a lot of printing, a few pages a day but I still want a cost effective printer.

thanks in advance

Monochrome means one colour. In the case of printers, it's generally black ink. So in effect, it is the same as black + white, unless they state a single other coloured ink for the print.

Thanks rayman,

I found some Brother lazer printers selling for under £60, are they any good?

Any recommendation for a colour laser would be appreciated.

Thanks

I think Brother are a very reputable brand. There's an excellent all in one [multi function device] at Viking Direct [On the front page of HUKD here: CLICK HERE - ALL IN ONE INKJET. It's not only low priced at £99.99p but also it's a colour. Unfortunately not a laser, but an inkjet. Excellent value for money though.

The monochrome below, is a Brother HL2040. It works out to around £58 delivered. There's also a free gift choice [a Black + Decker toolbox: P5A-PRBDBOX being one].

Thanks a lot rayman, you're a star.

I might end up going for a colour one, I need to do a little research into the cost of tonners first. As I won't be using the Colour tonners too much, I'll have to find out whether or not these printers mix all the colours to produce the back or if they have a seperate black tonner.

Any idea where the best prices for tonners are?

Thanks a lot for your help.

For toners check out www.inkspot.co.uk they are pretty good for home printing and consumables and there based down the road from me. Delivery is free over £7.50 I think and their compatibles are superb!

There are some great deals out there, but do watch out for the cost of Toner.

At work they bought a Brother Lazer Printer for about £250, but the Toners are about £75 or more each, which clearly means that you may as well buy a new printer when the Toners run out ?

Good Luck :D

Hi, I'm just about to buy this printer but unsure how much the tonners are. I've checked a few websites but they don't seem to have these?

Rayman, how do you get a free gift? I went all the way through but I could add the toolbox to my Basket as it's a premium product...

I must be doing something wrong?

Thank you all.

Sorry I didn't get back sooner.

Did you use the business website or the home site?

Also, to get the free gift, just enter the code above by copying + pasting it into the "Order By Catalogue Number" box. If that doesn't work, try this direct link:

I just added both + they seem to be working fine from here. Hope that works for you.
