cancelled virgin media, what would you recommend?

£0.00 @ Virgin Media
Been looking at what to get to replace, i.e. now tv, chromecast, both? I'd prefer something with Nick Jnr for the children. Thanks

Now TV entertainment package has Nick jnr. It is £6.99 a month, but you can get it cheaper after you have subscribed for a month, by trying to cancel and stating that it is too expensive, then they offer you a couple of quid off for 3 months. It is only a 30 day contact, so you are not tied in. However Now tv assumes that you have decent broadband. You also get a dozen or so other channels like Sky One, Sky Atlantic and the Disney channel.

Do you want a new service provider?

I'm not sure chrome cast is a replacement, its simply a device which will allows another service e.g Netflix to be played on your tv.

Some good deals on Now tv at the moment, c£15 with 3 months entertainment package. this will give you some time to make a decision on which way to go. I would say that if you want to go down the Netflix or Now tv route that you should have an unlimited decent speed Broadband in place, or the service might annoy you.

Have you considered freesat? one off cost for an ok service, google it and you will see a lot of positives.

or even a new customer deal with sky, get it cheap for a year then look again in 2016?

If customer service is the least important aspect, go with TalkTalk.

My father has TALKTALK and I think it is totally rubbish compared to VM, slower speeds, pages take longer to repsond, packet loss. It's a shame that VM are putting up their prices every 38 seconds!

All providers do, just a different time of year.
