I did wonder about this. i guess it should, depending on when the camera was purchased, and if the offer is global, not just uk (as the camera might have been purchased elsewhere).

The best in store price i have seen for this camera is in john lewis kingston, where it is £459.99 before cashback, with the kit lens

afaik, the cashback requires a valid reciept and the bar codes from the box so make sure that that seller can give you a receipt and hasnt taken the bar code from the box (in some bizarre cashback con)

Full t&c's here: http://canonlensacc2007.onlinerebates.com/howtoclaim.aspx

Yeah I've been investigating that too, as well as the receipt and box being intact you also have to make sure it was purchased between april and the end of june I think. Definitely have a look at those T&Cs.

Oh and I just looked at the ebay item you specifically asked about and it'd probably be sensible to check with the seller whether it was their own seller's guarantee or Canon's actual 12 month warranty - that might have some bearing on whether it'd be legitimate (and also whether you'd be able to get repairs done for free without having to pay postage to send the camera back to them etc).
