Do you eat food and drink liquid every day? Yes? Then you have no problem. Stop being such a wuss.

Crush into bits and snort it

I have a similair problem, and i am sick if i try and drink dissolvable tablets as they taste foul.

The solution i have found is to put the dissolvable tablets in a cup of tea/coffee - then you dont taste them at all

Okay do not under any circumstances chew tablets that aren't meant to be chewed as it will change how they work, coming from someone who works in the health industry. If the tablet has a line directly down the middle though you can either snap it or cut it as it's safe to do so.
#9
exactly me too

I have to split them in half, place on the tongue and use my front teeth to drag the tablet to the back of my mouth. Take a large gulp of water throw my head back and swallow. This was shown to me by a friend and works for me now.
#11
try guzzling down with something else

+1 to this. And in addition coated tablets are coated for a reason

My brother could never swallow tablets until he started putting it in some jam and swallowing that
#14
He also used to practice swallowing M&Ms because they taste much nicer!

Have you tried putting the water in your mouth first, and pop tablet in after, then just try to forget it's there and swallow your mouthful of 'water' ;)

Try milk instead of water.

Just learn to take them, force yourself. Even if it means putting a tablet in your mouth and drink water like you just wondered put of the Sahara.

Practice with a tube of smarties

I have the same problem but now I half the tablet and have it with cold milk; this has worked for me
#22
Just put the tablet in your mouth long ways and have a massive gulp of water. Works for me.
#23
If you chuck it in your mouth then immediately neck a glass of water it'll go down without you even noticing. Try that or just stop being a baby.
#24
You could buy calpol and take the liquid version - also lots of people tip their heads back which doesn't help, put the tablet in your mouth, take the sip of water and then put your head/chin slightly down to swallow not up - see if that works better.
#25
Get a biscuit (or anything you like), chew it as usual and then just before u swallow put the tablet in ur mouth so the food covers the tablet and swallow. I used to have a issue swallowing certain tablets and capsules but this has changed that :-)
#26
try using a very small amount of water
#27
Try tictacs, and go through the process of thinking they are tablets.
Worked for my daughter, now she can smoke off tinfoil and everything. ;)

A tube of smarties? oO I think you read the op incorrectly... Whilst practicing with a tube will certainly benefit some 'skills' ;) I would suspect in these particular circumstances individual smarties would be far more appropriate. :D

Seriously...put tablet in mouth and tip head to side as you swallow. This opens up the gullet more (in an elliptical shape) and makes it easier to swallow. I'm not sure where I heard this but I have been doing it for years. It works for me and all my family.

Buy film coated paracetamol or break them up into 4 . Mind you depends on the medication. Some contain acids that would burn the throat ,hence the coating to protect .

Generally to put a colour on them , but yes certain pills are coated because of taste , reaction to air , dissolution times , or harmful . If you ever get malaria tablets for holiday etc ( HCQS) don't chew them .. They are vile .

cut into 2 or pieces depending on size. place as far back as you can without gagging and take a big mouthful of liquid.

Buy solubles! I use solpadine max soluable tablets and they work a dream. They don't taste the best but they do the job :) solpadine had Codine in it though so you may have to look for another alternative depending on how you do with codine xxx

The only sure fire way our pooch would take pills was in a lump of cheese
