Hello, i am thinking about updating my car and wondered if anyone had seen any dealers offering 0% finance offers in Yorkshire (or an extremely low rate finance <3%). Only looking to spend £10k so dont wanna waste too much on finance.

Thanks.

what car are you looking for could probably save you money on purchase price then just get a bank loan or low finance rate and you would be quids in let me and will give you some sites to visit

Just what I was about to reply try one of those car supermarkets you see on the telly (yell.com?) Check prices then find a similar car on say autotrader and you will find they are much cheaper

Was thinking New shape Focus or Mondeo as i like the TDCI engine, and i can get the family in them with ease.

Should get £2.5k in PX for my old car so that would make my required amount a bit less.

are you looking for brand new or a car a couple of years old? there is a brand new model mondeo that came out in last few months and the focus is getting replaced at end of this year. see autoexpress website. it will show new model focus due approx sept07. its a completely different car to present model.prices of existing model will drop drastically at end of year to clear stocks ready for launch of new model.you would get a huge discount on old style mondeo if you went into a ford dealership or shopped online at an internet retailer. give me more info and i will point you in right direction mate.

what are you looking to spend? in total including your part ex allowance and any specific model or engine size ?

£10,000 inc. the part/ex allowance. My only real stipulation is that its a TDCI model. Focus is preferable, but would look at the mondeo if the price was right. As for engine size, anything around 1.6 to 2.0 will be adequate.

you can easily get 2006 model focus or mondeo diesel. take a look on autotrader.co.uk . type in 0 to 1 year old . there are approx 60+ mondeo diesels across uk and atleast 60+ focus diesels across uk that are 2006 models. prices range from around £8000 upto £10000 .look at national list first them look within a realistic mileage of your home postcode.most of these cars are at garages and some are private. you should easily be able to find what your looking for at the price you need. if you buy from a garage insist on a very low interest rate if they wont then go elsewhere. negotiate over the phone .dont goto garage to negotiate they will stitch you up thats why they are called salesmen. if you sell your car privately first you will have more leverage in negotiating a better price and a better interest rate but do it over the phone. if they say they cant just try elsewhere.i bought my last car by email i didnt give them my number once i got the right price i took a bank loan at 5.5%apr . i walked into garage and paid for car on my debit card the guy said he had never sold a car to someone he had not met before.the car was £8495 and i paid £6300 im not saying you will get that level of discount but there is a minimum of 10% mark up on second hand cars sometimes upto 30%+ and they then get paid commission if they sort your finance. hope this helps you get what you need mate. let us know how you get on
