I always start here every year

http://www.moneysupermarket.com/motor/

Just put all your details in & let them do the work as it searches over 50 major insurers then you can search the ones it doesn't.

Hope you sorted

think direct line do this.
Please use quidco for this. Big savings to be made.

Also Tesco are worth a shout. Only thing is, watch how much excess you are signing upto as when I tried thru them it was pricey.

Direct Line will give the named driver a Named Driver No Claims Bonus. This can only be used with Direct Line though and can't be taken else where.

Don't like direct like, they try to force me to make me take full responsibility for a claim! Which clearly the other party faked a witness statement, so going thru a long process with the FSA about.

Well their advisor said "you have no claim bonus protected, so it don't really matter" emmm it does duh....

Yes its direct line that let a named driver earn a no claims discount, but like dontfollowme says it can only be used at direct line. That is better than nothing though. Ive got 1 years no claims on my B/F's car and i havent passed my test yet. This will be handy when i do.

Do use Quidco for your purchase as they are giving you £40 cash back. If you have done a direct line quote already dont forget to clear your cookies before going through Quidco. You do want it to track.

Just also to think about Lloys TSB are giving £120 cash back through Quidco on their car insurance.

i always look on www.confused.com

they compare about 30+ insurers and put them in price order, you can look at the quote without actually contacting the company first.

I have used this site for about 3 yrs now when it comes to changing my insurance i have saved quite a bit.

For about the last 4 years running admiral and elephant have given me the best deals even after searching moneysupermarket and confused.

I'm with budget insurance, I always get at least 20 quotes whenever I renew and budget were about 50 quid cheaper than the second cheapest.
