Half price at £7 a litre at Homebase. (£28 for 4 litres)

Think it maybe 10% off everything this weekend too.

I had an email to say it was happening.

Hi there

Why do you need the oil ?
If for a service for your car go to national tyres
A oil and filter change booked online is only £35.10
i have a vectra that needs this oil.
Its cheaper to let them do it than buy oil and filter.

Quick question with regards to engine oil. Is it best to buy a really good oil, over a cheap one? Will it have much effect on the engine ie performance, fuel consumption? Rep will be left if you can answer thanks!

found castrol edge fully synthetic for £6.18 at homebase, i should be very careful going to a national garage due to extremely shoddy work. i already have a mercedes mechanic prepared to fully service the car for £30 but i like to supply the best parts i can afford. knew a lad that worked at kwik fit once & his only training was flipping burgers at mc donalds(he could'nt even work the register after months of training!)
as for quality of the oil it will improve fuel consumption, reduce engine wear and give a smoother & quieter ride!

to notice a drastic improvement in your drive, see if you can find royal purple oil, i'm sure its expensive but people are raving about it. dont ever buy cheap as it will destroy your engine surprisingly quickly. best bet i think is to get the best you can afford!
