I recently stayed at St Ermins near St James Park tube, I wholeheartedly recommend it. If you are sharing a room it should be in your price range.

Have a look on Agoda for all the hotels in that area then check trip advisor for reviews.

Going to go off the grid a little bit and say the Grange Rochester. Should be well within your budget, and newly renovated. It's on a quiet square maybe 10 minutes walk from Victoria station and about the same from Westminster Abbey/ Houses of Parliament/ Westminster Pier, within slightly longer walking distance of St James, Green Park, Buckingham Palace, Covent Garden, Piccadilly etc. Good transport links too if you'd rather not walk.

Rates for 9 April are from £95 for a double to £130 for an executive room, including breakfast. I've stayed there a few times and it's one of the few good value places around in Central London.

Hi it's not really posh but the premiere inn Holborn is great, so handy for Covent Garden n easy to walk to from kings cross railway. Stayed there 3 times now. Can't fault it. Breakfast is lovely too 8.95 each.

St Pancras Renaissance is impressive.

Has anyone stayed at The Strand Palace?

Hilton Metropole on Edgeware Road has very large comfortable rooms. Plus the roof top bar has great views over the West End. Opposite tube station. 5 min walk Marble Arch.

Thanks, looked at St Pancras, looks good but a little expensive as not room sharing. Is it noisy as close to station?
