Why a Centrino, does it have to be this chip?

Centrino is possible, but it'll be a old model and/or refurb of the old banias or dothan range (the 2 cpu cores just before the CoreDuo and Core2Duo core ranges came out.

So old... old and expensive, a newer celeron or amd turion will be alot faster, but the older centrino is probably kinder on battery life.

Do you really need to sacrifice so much power for battery life?

Well I wanted Pentium and Wireless, and I thought Centrino laptops come with both. If I can get CoreDuo laptop for that price, that is also fine.

Is the Intel Celeron M 410 Processor 1.46GHz in http://www.hotukdeals.com/forums/showthread.php?t=51967, better than older centrino??. I never used a Celeron laptop before and so I didn't give a thought of going to Celeron.
