Orange San francisco may be your best bet. Do a search on here you'll see loads of deals

then stay away from a cheap android phone.... u might need to go for something mid range like a htc wildfire

If you think the Orange San francisco is too slow then you may have to fork out for a HTC disire or HTC desire HD, as the Orange San francisco is by no meens a slow android phone when used right. An Orange San francisco can hold it's own against the likes of a htc wildfire and the wildfire has a MUCH inferior screen to the OSF.

The Samsung Galaxy Apollo (i5800 or Galaxy 3) is decent value for money and reduced by £100 at CPW.

I have a motorola defy which I think is a great little android phone- available on T mobile from £15 per month.

In the same boat. As an Iphone user the nice screen has the San Francisco winning out. I don't want to go back to a sup-par screen. But I'd spend up to 100pounds more for a similar screen, 5mp camera, a bit more speed and accelerometer. Any other recommendations? I'm not in the UK enough to justify an iphone other expensive phone, and I can't unlock my current US iphone. I do need something though...

Also, I looked and looked but found no way to create my own post here? It seems I can only submit a "deal". What am I missing?

HTC Wildfire?

Don't know how it is compared to the Orange San Francisco as i've never used one. The wildfire is a mid-range android phone which is pretty good and is probably just a bit expensiver than the San Francisco.

Thanks aamir, I was really looking at that one initially with the better camera, but the screen is half the resolution. All in all, after looking at the Apollo, Wilfdire, even the Desire and the Motorola Defy, I think the San Francisco wins out. I'm about to pull the trigger
