My husband is dutch and we go to Holland a few times a year and always on the cheap flights. The cheapest flights are now about £50 ( about one year ago they aere about £30!). We live in South Wales and so we use BMI Baby from Cardiff or Easyjet from Bristol. Your best bet is to go to www.skyscanner.net and you will be able to select airports near to you that fly to Amsterdam.
Hope that helps.

you need to be a bit more specific than that, especially where from you want to travel.

most likely you are far too later to get a cheap deal though (eg. bmibaby has usually cheap deals to amsterdam if booked early)

You can be lucky booking late. If they have loads of empty seats they sell them very cheap. If they just have a few seats left they then charge a lot more)

Hey mate, bit short notice to get anything too cheap - but here's what I found:

Cheapest from East Midlands I can find is £126.48 with Bmibaby - http://www.bmibaby.com/bmibaby/skylights/cgi-bin/skylights.cgi

And cheapest from London Luton is £117.47 with Easyjet - http://www.easyjet.com/en/book/step3.asp#x

You can reduce these costs by changing your booking to the 29th and 2nd if that is possible? Hope this helps.

Wow, good work. Thanks!

Still a bit pricey, but since no hotel/hostel is required it still falls within budget. :-D
