I've been looking around for cheap holidays mainly to Tenerife in February next year for 2 adults and 2 kids. At present the prices are around £2k - is this normal or are there any sites that i should use to source a cheap holiday?

Thanks

Unfortunately it is not looking cheap at all, these days you are paying as much for kids as you are for adults.

Try this site http://www.loveholidays.com they are pretty good and always come put cheap. Another advantage with them is you pay a deposit and then can if you wish pay 6 monthly payments at no extra cost to spread the payments which can be handy. Play around with your dates and options and see what comes up.

The cheapest i came up with for 4 of you 10 days half board was £1572 frying on sat 14th feb from Leeds Bradford at £1572 for a family room but I do not know what the hotel is like (i am not recommending etc).

Another option may be Gran Canaria as it is also good for the kids. Prices start at £1081 half board for a week from monday 16th, again from Leeds Bradford but I do not know the hotel so it is just to give you a starting point.

Good luck searching, I will keep my eyes open and let you know iff if any offers crop up in the next few days as I am on the lookout for myself for another holiday also.

I'm affraid this sort of price is normal during school hols mainly due to high cost of flights. I would try Skyscanner to find best option for flight and than add accommodation and extras.

Hi we go to Tenerife every year around February, you have to realise that it is peak season there and you will find many many places sold out depending on how near to the time that you book. We book flights with Easyjet the day they are released, we paid £60 each return but the same flights are now 3 times more expensive and I rarely find cheap late deals in Feb.

What dates are you thinking of? How old are the kids? What board basis / star rating are you looking for? Update here and I will take a look and see if I can find any deals.

Hello, kids are 7 and 5 years old. We were thinking of going around after Feb 11th for around 9 - 11 nights. Thanks for your help

Edit: Country wise, it doesnt have to be Tenerife, we could be interested in countries with some decent weather and parks for kids mainly where there have could view sea animals etc.

Tenerife is great for kids, Loro Parque is superb and a must visit and Siam Park is also another mys do with kids.

Where are you flying from?

How flexible on the dates / duration?

Board basis, self catering, half board or all inclusive?

Where are you flying from?
Newcastle/Manchester (more towards Newcastle as its closer)

How flexible on the dates / duration?
I think around 3/4 days after 11 Feb although if there are significantly cheaper prices we could adjust.

Board basis, self catering, half board or all inclusive?
Half board at present as we do prefer being out and about.
