cheap optical wired mouse <£20, pref black

Been off the comp for a while (exams) so never noticed how bad my mouse has got, esp when playing bf2. In any case it's time for an 'upgrade' and so i'm on the lookout for a cheap optical wired mouse, not keyboard and mouse set as my keyboard is fine, pref a black mouse as i have a dell keyboard and also a mouse with a scrollwheel and pref some extra gaming buttons like i had with my old logitech wireless, bad experiences with wireless sets, hence the request for a wired mouse, thanks in advance, lz:thumbsup:

i've been using this one for nearly a year now http://www.a4tech.com/en/product2.asp?CID=102&SCID=103&MNO=X-750F first gaming mouse i've bought or used so can't tell you how it compares with others, but i'm pleased with it. A good price for virtually the same one can be found here

Hi there, don't waste your money on rubbish products. Get a logitech MX518, it's a VERY popular choice amongst gamers. I honestly can't fault it, I have an MX900 which is the wireless bluetooth version. The MX518 is better than mine so I can only assume it's brilliant.

It's £31.73 delivered and that is certainly the cheapest I can find it delivered.

seems pretty good to me, although i'd never previously spent more than a fiver on a mouse :-D . I certainly wouldn't describe it as rubbish and it meet's your criteria, ie under £20 and black. Nearly a year on and working just as well as the day I bought it. But don't just take my word for it, search for reviews on the product, I did when I bought mine and couldn't find a bad one

thanks, also been looking at the logitech mx15 or mx18 whatever it's called, seems good but still a bit pricey, anyone know whether it's worth it.

i think i'll get the a4, is this site any good? http://www.cclonline.com/
#11
I got the A4 from SVP for about a tenner - it's an excellent mouse. I do a fair bit of video editing, and you really notice when they aren't smooth.
#12
can't find that exact mouse arfster, the A4tech ones they offer on svp are about £11 and a model lower, in any case i think i'm gonna get this mouse; http://www.cclonline.com/product-info.asp?product_id=7085&category_id=305&manufacturer_id=0 and this joystick; http://www.cclonline.com/product-info.asp?product_id=9308&category_id=190&manufacturer_id=0&tid=ps24 the total price comes to jsut over £40, good deal? anyone else used ccl? I just want to verify that they are good choices from a decent retailer. Thanks for all the help so far.
#13
i've used ccl a few times with no problems
#14

re the "when i get it", sod's law but the delivery has been delayed becuase of some stock shortages, i won't hold it against you though lol, right now anything would do, my current mouse is infuriating to work with.

showing as in stock atm as it was a couple of days ago, are you saying ccl are claiming to have stock when they don't? :?

no it was stock shortage, so some poor sods out there are going have to wait a couple more days, i ordered on tues (i think) gonna have to wait till next friday for delivery according to the help desk, i'm one of the guys who's actually gonna get the joystick soon, in any case i'm not complaining at this price but just ever so slightly peeved due to the situation i have to live with at the moment, ie a mouse that will end up through the window if i keep on using it.

it seems i lied, came today, can't gauge how good the mouse is because it is ultra sensitive, gonna change the settings once i get the program up and running
