Just installed vista and am after a 1Gb flash pen drive for readyboost

im hoping one of the cheap £10 for 1Gb pen drives will work, but not too sure

so anyone recommend me a 1Gb pen drive that is readyboost ready?

the cheaper the better!

thanks for the link, but someone left a review on the dabs site saying that it is not readyboost ready :(

nice price though for a 1Gb :)

Hmm i dont know, i got it, and when i put it in vista the pop up comes up saying do you want to make it ready for readyboost.... i havent actually tried it though

For a device to be compatible and useful it must conform to the following requirements:

* The capacity of the removable media must be at least 256 MB
* Devices larger than 4GB will have only 4GB used for ReadyBoost
* The device should have an access time of 1ms or less
* The device must be capable of 2.5 MB/s read speeds for 4 kB random reads spread uniformly across the entire device and 1.75 MB/s write speeds for 512 kB random writes spread uniformly across the device
* The device must have at least 235 MB of free space
* NTFS and FAT32 are supported
* The initial release of ReadyBoost supports one device


btw you can use any flash device. iPods (mini or nano), usb memory sticks, other flash media players, sd cards and cf cards

looking for the cheapest compatable 1gb stick for you now

EDIT: Cancel that, it isnt Readyboost compatable. Damn, Microsoft arent making this easy! On paper it looked ok but found this site:
