Hi,

Im helping my sister plan a suprise 21st Birthday trip to New York for her daughter and i was wondering if anyone has any suggestions for the best company to fly with (cheapest!!!)

She wants to go from Sept 3rd from Birmingham Intl (if possible) and return on the 7th of Sept this year,

Does anyone have an suggestions of the best site to search, i have had a quick look on opodo and the cheapest was £670 each return!!!! (could get to Australia for that) and lastminute, com would return any searches (had a look there just to get a ball park figure)

Any help would be much appreciated,

Cheers

Best company - Virgin Atlantic by a long shot (I will only use them for an Atlantic crossing trip)

Cheapest - Air India

A quick expedia search came up with £366

This was with Continental from Birmingham

I am sure that a more detailed search will bring up a cheaper price

I would usually suggest waiting due to the current specials and market trend.... however the £212 is very cheap, so if probably worth booking it. That way you know you are definitely going and can concentrate on other things like booking a hotel and more importantly working out what you are going to do!

I've got $302 return which is currently £213. It's not a direct flight though sadly, but it is a lot cheaper!

Ive flew with USairways and they are very good - Check out seat guru as well before pick your seats - it will help you avoid the bad ones-you cont want a poor seat on a long flight;-)

oh and go for that deal your not going to get it much cheaper than that

Kayak is a good search engine
