Specs look good but it isnt released until next week. A lot of people off here have ordered so there should be plenty of reviews come May 1st!

looks like a good deal although i can only see one HD imput which wouldn't be too bad but ideally i'd like to have my PS3 and PC plugged it.

Still thanks anyway.

Component, VGA and DVI are all HD connections so you could have you're PS3 in the DVI slot, PC in the VGA slot and still have one high def connection left. Unless you mean HDCP connections, then i see the problem...

oh i didn't realise it had a VGA too or that Component could be HD so it's fine and i don't even know what HDCP is.

thanks again satchef1

lol, i seriously hope it has VGA or ive just ordered a monitor that is completely useless to me!

HDCP might be an issue, but not for a few years yet. Its an encryption the is being used in High Def material to attempt to stop piracy
Basically PS3, Blu-Ray and HD-DVD players use it so with only 1 DVI socket you can only connect one of these. Vista PCs might use it in a few years too but AFAIK they dont yet and it will only certain services anyway

can't find it, you sure it isn't the one already linked?
#10
Yeah, it's the one that's already linked lol.
#11
oops didnt see that
#12
no problem
#13
Hope you haven't already ordered? The LG offered is much more superior by far and what a great price, should make the PS3 look sweeet

no i haven't ordered yet i'm still a bit unsure if i can justify spending that much and i finish uni in a bit over a month so it's more stuff to get back home, but it's sooo tempting.

Just to let you know the LG M228WA does support HDCP so it would work perfectly fine with your PS3 as long as you got the HDMI cable and an HDMI to DVI-D converter. I dont know what would happen with the sound since HDMI supports sound but DVI-D doesnt.

We are really wishing to get our hands on this monitor, once mine arrives on Wed ill write a review with lots of pictures and my thoughts on the use of it with a sky box, xbox 360 (component and vga), pc, analogue tuner and ps2.

Im pretty sure you can get cables with HDMI on one end, DVI and Audio on the other. Those should work with PS3 and give you an audio out for plugging into an amp or PC speakers

Sony have released a "D Terminal" (DVI and audio L+R) cable but it seems impossible to get in the UK at the moment.
