Whats the cheapest you can get an iPhone 4 for via contract?

My cheapest deal is £710. This is worked out based upon the following factors:

1) Purchased via http://www.e2save.com.
2) £100 cashback (via the Top Cash Back site).
3) 24 month contract.
4) Phone is free.
5) Contract is lowered at earliest possible stage (9 months).

24 month Contract:

£45 x 9 months = £405
£40 x 1 month = £40
£35 x 1 month = £35
£30 x 1 month = £30
£25 x 12 months = £300
-------------------
Total: £810
-------------------
Less cashback: £100
-------------------
Grand total: £710
-------------------

Anyone do any better? Of course a dream come true for me would be a £35 a month contract for 18 months with a free phone. But hey, anything close to that on a 24 month contract would be fine.

I have heard tesco are the cheapest, although I haven't looked myself.

My impression this vastly overhyped device was cheapest via Tesco Mobile over 90% of the time on contract.

The iPhones not for me (prefer physical keyboards, hence going for the htc desire Z). Its for the missus.

Yep, i'm on the tesco site now and cant see how its cheaper than the deal i originally posted?

Fact:
1) Theres no £100 cashback.
2) You have to pay £19 for the phone.

Therefore it actually works out to £829... so thats £119 more than what i posted!

Maybe able to get a better deal instore, but the iphone is a popular phone & apple limit what shops can reduce it so you won't find a lot cheaper tbh.

Yeah i've heard that from mates but problem is, I'm only 5 months in on an 18 month contract and my missus is 5 months in on a O2 monthly contract. They wont let her upgrade (to the iPhone for the same deal you mentioned) until at least month 12. By then theres probably gonna be better deals out as well.

I hate contracts... 12 months was bad enough, back in the day! But i suppose its only fair. Normally its the big businesses that rip off the consumer (like BT decades ago with their telephone line monopoly) and then the consumer gets their revenge. For once its the other way round. Poor Orange and O2, i was getting the latest phone for free (and my tariff lowered) every single year (when it was time for contract renewal). I guess its payback time now (for them).

I think the Tesco deal is best

Iphone 4 16gb - 349 + 12 month contract at 20 (240) = 589

The phone is then Sim free, you could go on a 10 contact or pay as you go.

Or even just sell the phone for about 300 and get the new iphone 5 !!!!

That's all good if you have £350 up front to pay. However, this is about paying via affordable installments.

I got an intrest free credit card from tesco's and brought it that way. 12 month intrest free.

the £25 you save on your contact over 12 month = £300 only £50 short

Yeah a good idea but I want to avoid the credit card/debt route. Besides, I dont have a credit card and have a poor rating so couldnt get one even if i tried.
