Best bet is a local store they are always cheaper than big stores.

You get what you pay for, I've put a couple of laminate floors down, the first I did was quality stuff, locked together like a jigsaw and is still looking imaculate (its in the mess room in work so has a lot of people walking back and fore).
The second I did with some cheap stuff - it was horrible stuff lo lay, the tongue and groove bits kept snapping (it's almost like they are made of cardboard) so I wasted a good bit, and a year later the floor is looking a lot worse than the other one I did.
If you want it to last (and not look crap) spend as much as you can afford.

I agree, unless its a room getting very minimal use i would NEVER use the very cheap laminates, they are a complete false economy trust me, they usually look like garbage after less than a year, i would consider paying about £20 per pack, as one poster said the cheapo ones have disgracefull joints on them which snap when u look at them ,meaning huge amounts of waste or very dodgy joins in the floor. You definately get what you pay for with laminates imo.

If you do get them from B&Q be careful when you choose the packs. Check the tongue of the long edge - quite often they have been bashed. Out of about 10 packs I think I had just over a pack worth of boards damaged (about 1 or 2 boards in each pack).

So if they're on special get a pack or so extra in case you go back for more and they've sold out!!
