It's a shame most of these lights aren't very bright. I bought a few 1050 lumen LED bulbs from B&Q for £7 and they are REALLY bright much better than CCFL OR expensive to run halogen B22 bulbs. Yet to see smart bulbs that actually get this bright sadly.

Most zigbee lights "should" work with hue/echo but by no means all of them, it's still a very young tech

If you use the Lutron system you can use ANY lamps you like. You're better off putting the 'smart' elements into the circuit as opposed to relying on the lamps themselves.

How do you connect these Echo? Don't you need the Xiaomi Hub?

Yes that's exactly what I was thinking earlier I don't want to be paying silly money for what is in effect just a light bulb. £7 for the super bright led is my limit the normal ones at £5 are fine.

Thanks for the heads up will have a look at that now

I have a yeelight, mines Bluetooth multi coloured but can only run off my phone app as far as I know, I myself am waiting for more wifi switches rather than the bulbs themselves that way rooms with spotlights etc can be controlled aswell
