What parts of Office do you want?

Office comes in all sorts of different "packaging" and you will pay more if you want say Access or Publisher than if you want just Word, Excel and Powerpoint.

If you are happy with just Word, Excel and Powerpoint then you can buy Office 2010 Home and Student for about £80 on Amazon. This can be installed on 3 PCs.

If you want Outlook as well as Word, Excel and Powerpoint then you need Office Home and Business but that is £187 and only goes on 1 PC (not sure how they can justify £100 extra JUST for Outlook, and only for 1 PC).

If you want Access and Publisher as well then you need Office 2010 Professional and that can cost you over £300

If you only want to install it on 1 computer and are not bothered about being able to transfer the MS Office license to a new computer, that you may buy 2 or 3 years later , the key card license pack is the cheapest option at £59.99 delivered.

You basically buy the license pack and then download the software here.

Have you tried OpenOffice? It is free and works very well. link

Thanks all for the brilliant replies! Blimey. Pricey!! I would like Access too to be honest.
I have heard of Open Office but wasn't sure if it came with all the functions/drop down options that you normally get in the full fat versions eg Excel.
