Cheapest place to buy a R4 card for DS lite?

£0.00 @
I am looking to buying a r4 card. I have seen a few on dealextreme but due to the poor exchange rates, i dont know if it is a good deal. Is there a difference between them and DSTT?

Try these, one with/without memory card.......there is a £5 off £10 spend in the voucher section & shipping is only 99p

Think I will upgrade my SimplyM3 to an R4 at this price!

Amazon marketplace. They're a bit hidden, try searching for 'R cards for DS' as well as the obvious R4! I paid £13 and that included a 2MB Micro SD card made by Kingston which I thought was a good deal.

I was thinking of getting the R4-III adaptor from dealextreme for £10 and buy the 4gb MicroSDHC memorycard from memory bits using voucher which will cost £4 delivered. Will SDHC work on the adaptor? It says micro sdhc in deal extreme:http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.16929
Has anyone tried a 4GB card in there DS?
Let me know as I want to buy it

I've only used 2GB. I think if it allows more than that, it's not an offical R4 card. There's a lot of clones out there...they tend to hang on the bigger cards apparantly.

2GB is fine, 40 games is enough for my kids, I chop and change them once a month anyway.

A word of warning: R4 cards are cheap for a reason, the makers have stopped updating their own firmware, so they will become increasingly less compatible with future homebrew and such. Regarding the differences between all the major cards, GBAtemp.net has a lot of reviews on all of them, with simple enough ratings: http://gbatemp.net/?dynamic=8

My R4 finally bit the dust about a month ago, and I've ordered a DSTT from dx as a replacement. Apparently the new favoured card among 'enthusiasts' is the CycloDS, but it's nowhere near as cheap as the DSTT or other cards, being more along the lines of the original price of the R4.

Good luck anyway, it's not as simple as it used to be :P

It all depends on what games you have as the size varies quite a bit. I'd recommend a 4GB memory card at least personally.

My advice would be to get the DSTTi from Dealextreme ..

i have bought about 10 different r4 cards from dealextreme and found the r4 upgrade is as good as any and only around £5 delivered and i use an 8gb card on it and never had any problems.

Dealextreme are usually cheapest like one of the previous posts says.
