Cheapest UK & International delivery postage options - best deal required!

I need to get a better deal that Royal Mail for delivering items worldwide. UK delivery needs to be within 2 days, and international delivery within 5 - 10 days.

If anyone has any sensible suggestions it would be very much appreciated. I would prefer to use a well known company for peace of mind.

hya i find when im posting heavy or large ebay parcels that parcel 2 go is very good different rates options etc and may not be quite wot u want but worth a look, i know when i post anything under 25kg in uk they use DHL, any others they use are all well known and they keep u posted all the way.http://www.parcel2go.com/Default.aspx

I frequently send stuff to the States. Recently I've used Interparcel who are some sort of shipping broker for domestic & worldwide deliveries. All my Stateside deliveries have been picked up by DHL and delivered by DHL, with live tracking both on the Interparcel site mirrored from the DHL site.
Last package of documents I sent to the States was just under 1kg - they delivered next day, for £16. Dunno how they make any money: UPS would have stung me for £32+ with a 3-day delivery timeframe.
Interparcel are on Quidco too with 5% cashback.
Probably worthy of consideration.

If you look round theres dozens if not hundreds of posts about parcel2go there the worst delivery firm you could possibly try i wouldn't use them if they were free.

Thanks guys for the replies. Most of my parcels will weigh between 750g to 5kg so are not very heavy (I am opening a vinyl record store). I really need like a flat rate delivery for the UK, one for Europe, and for the rest of the world. I'll try some of your suggestions.

Cheers,

Steve
