check easyjet prices? :)

How about a lateral solution to this. Leave the cappuccino machine where it is and buy a new one in Germany where it is needed?

Thanks for the comments, just had a look at transglobal and looks good.

Easyjet no! And the cappuccino machine must be returned to Amazon.de then they'll return to me the postage, after I've confirmed with them how much it's going to cost.

It's a pia that you can't just return it to Amazon UK and be done with it.

Anyway thanks to all for the replies.

If there refunding your postage I'd put the ball in there court by asking what method they prefer..?

Have they agreed to refund up to a certain amount for postage...?

Give them the highest price you've been quoted and they may just give you a prepaid returns label..?

They said for me to get a price and to let them know first and then they will OK it or not, it's a load of peeing about.

I'm still waiting for the reply back to an email sent last night!

My replacement is on way to me, but they won't pick the let's call it the old one up at the same time as they drop the new one - useless Amazon De...

I have to jump through hoops for some reason.

I'm just hoping that this new one doesn't break down now, it comes with a 2 year warranty but it's hard work claiming on it.

the post office services seem pretty straightforward.

i'd rather pay a bit more for a reputable organisation.

Parcel2go its the insurance that bumps the price up.

Go to a post office and ask for it to be sent to Germany recorded delivery insured for £350

it must be a super good and/or super cheap for you to have taken the risks to buy from amazon germany.

tardytortoise, it was super cheap especially compared to UK price!

Got it all sorted out now, it's been sorted out now very painless actually even for a big company like Amazon.

Got a price, emailed them it, 2 hours later got the OK to send it that way, how easy do you want it for a big company like that.

It's being picked up by DPD today and replacement is due today, why oh why they couldn't arrange to swap one out with the other I'll never know!
