Megabus leaves Manchester at 4am and arrives in London by 8.30.
Return times are 18.30 and 23.00.
I reckon you could do it for less than £30.

You won't be able to find anything yet as you can only check 3-4 months in advance for tickets. So I suggest you should go onto either the National Rail or Mega Train website around October or November. I hope this helps.

My better half and daughter have just booked return tkts from Chester to London, Euston (no changes so easy with kids).
Using friends and fam rail pass total journey cost is £18.70!
Travel is at convenient times too.
You can park a car near Chester station for free.

Any good ?

I have travelled with megabus a few times - Not had any major problems - Can be alot slower than going by train but it doesnt really matter paid 4 pound return from leeds to london .

If going by megabus just get there on time as they have a tendency to depart right on time they dont bother waiting around for people.

might be wise looking into a family railcard - even if its one journey you make, u might save straight away.
