Hello,

I have an original xbox crystal, i think the version is v1.6. I was wandering whether anyone out there has the skills to modify it with a Xecuter 2.6 or whatever similar along with the appropriate adapter and bios, i have the a new hard drive which i could send on.

So if anyone would be up for it name a price

I don't fancy doing it myself, is there anyone in the manchester/bury who'll do it?

cheers

find someone whos selling the kit, they usually fetch around £10, then you just copy from the memory card to the xbox, start the game, it will re start and then just follow the instructions. easy as.. then sell teh kit after again as always people looking for them

But is soft modding compatible with installing a bigger hdd to save xbox games on to play them without the disc?

Sotfmodding is the easier method especially if you aren't interested in going online.
Adding a bigger HD is more tricky for the first timer.
I used to do them all the time and would charge £10 for the Softmod which would take about 5 Mins and £30 to add a HD and put any games they wanted on it which would take me a good few hours depending on how games to transfer on.
Some HD aren't compatible so go here to check yours to be safe http://xboxdrives.x-pec.com/?p=list
I would offer you my services but i am in London so no good to you.
