I know Marks and Spencers do lovely cakes! Not sure if they can do some personalisation on it for you.

Not sure if this is any good to you but I bought a plain cake and bout a personalised topper from Ebay. I sent my daughter's photograph to them so it had all the days details and her picture on it. It was easy to put on the cake and looked great.

This you can but some great toppers you know to do the cake yourself, it's as simple as poking the topper in or sticking it with cake glue.

i was just about to say that - my friend even used two of them to give out after her wedding and it was lovely - if you could get someone to ice it it would be great - or i think there is somewhere online that makes icing from pictures as a sheet to put over the top of the cake - looks fab - one of the girls in my little ones class had one - but not sure where it came from - someone here will know - ia m sure ;)
