Seems pretty good to me with a decent processor and 4 GB GPU

Or if the generally held opinion that it's a bad time to buy a new Laptop current with the new graphics cards coming out pushing down the cost of the current spec? And if so how long do people think until we start to see deals with the new graphics cards at this type of price? I've got a budget of around £1k for a new Laptop - want to get a 17" screen with a decent spec, fancy getting back into PC gaming so want something half decent - any advice / suggestions would be welcome

Personally I would spend the 1k on a desktop and enjoy twice the gaming power of this machine for the same price poss running 1070

Bad time to buy, the new laptops with 1050/1050ti are coming out soon and the 1050ti is on a par with the 970m and way ahead of the 960m.

its mostly speculation at the moment but in a couple of weeks for that money you could get a more powerful gaming laptop and the current 9xxm gaming laptops will drop in price.

128gb is also rather small for an ssd. Some games are 50gb+ so wouldn't leave much room.
