The Canon ixus range is very good, I guess you'd be looking at the ixus70 or ixus75. Both are very good, you may well get the ixus70 for a good price with it being the older model. If you don't mind getting a refurb model, you might get lucky with the Canon Outlet on ebay, just make sure you check the prices carefully and don't get too carried away, you can end up paying more than you would a for a new one.

One of the best regarded cameras of late is the Fuji F20 which is particularly good for low light photos. It's discontinued now, but you may be lucky enough to find one, if not there are other cameras in the F series range, which are also excellent in poor light conditions. The're probably not as well built or pocketable as the ixus, but neither would dissappoint.

I'm sure that there will be other suggestions from others, once the site speeds up a bit!

EDIT: I guess from your name, that you're feeling quite happy today!

I'm actually a Man Utd fan, strangely enough born in Manchester rather than your neck of the woods, but was more than happy to see Chelski lose, and to see you thrash Arsenal! Actually, does that make you the top team in London?

Dont think so!
Most nuetrals were supporting us I think. Chelsea behave like spoilt brats when they loose Ie Drogba yesterday. Arsenal are pretty much the same. Gallas antics in their game at the weekend and kicking nani when you took them apart at OT..especially as he is club captain

Couldn't agree more about Gallas, will be interesting to see if he remains captain for much longer, I can't imagine Fergie letting his captain behave like that!

Anyway, back to the matter in hand, I had a quick look at the ixus cameras from the Canon Outlet on ebay, and the ixus75 seems to have been going for about £90-£100 delivered, which I think is quite a bit cheaper than barnd new in the shops. Ixus70 a bit cheaper again. They do come with a full years Canon warranty, so might be worth a look.

The Samsung NV3 7.2 Megapixel Digital Camera is a very good buy. We bought one a year or so ago and it's excellent. Now down from £189.99 to £89.99 at play. Link below:

Also includes free case!

thanks Welshgirl

is it pretty small?
#9
what is the seller called for the canon outlet by the way Mike?

our family swears by Fujifilm. Reasonably small without being so tiny as to lose it in a handbag! Easy to use with point and shoot or various easy-to-use settings. Quite cheap to buy and maintain. Fujifilm do various types either with aa batteries or with its own battery charger.

I've had mine for several years now with no problems at all.

It's very slim (less than 2cm) and fits easily in to your pocket. We always have people commenting on it. Very stylish!

I think you must be looking in the wrong place Berbatov, as there are currently quite a few compact Canon's available from the Canon Outlet on Ebay. I can't put a link on here, so you'll just have to find it I'm afraid.

From any Ebay page, search for Canon Outlet in the product search box, then click on any of the items. You should now be at an item sold buy the Canon Outlet, on the right hand side of the screen click on Visit Sellers Shop, and you should be there (Select Compact cameras from the left)

Good luck!

Good, hope it helps, or at least offers an alternative option.

I understand your namesake has hinted that he might stay at Spurs. Bad news for us, as I thought we might go for him, but certainly good news for you, it would be a rather embarrassing username for a Spurs fan if he became a Man Utd player!

Indeed, I would have to change it pretty quick!! I still think he will go, i would probabl do the same but at least we can offer him Europe next season though he deserves CL

Of to jessops at lunch time to see what these cameras actually look like! Size mostly is what I am looking at

I have a 5 week old boy so dont want to miss all these photo oportunities!

Good plan, always worth having a good look at them first - it's often the slightest thing like the position of the buttons the do your head in. They grow up so quick, you certainly don't want to miss too many opportunities. Not that I'm trying to force you to use the Canon Outlet, but I bought a very cheap A460 for my stepson from them a couple of weeks ago and it arrived within 2 days, so if you're concerned about delivery times it shouldn't be an issue.

If Berbatov does go you might have to sweet-talk a Moderator, as I don't think changing your username is a done thing!

Ill have to come back with a new identity completely then!! :-)

Might be better to go with an one of the past spurs players instead to avoid any embarrassment, Chivers would probably be a good alternative, shame it would make you sound like a butler!
