I've just taken advantage of the Tesco offer on the Canon eos400d and I'm hoping that people might have suggestions on which cards to buy and where from as to be totally honest I haven't a clue. Thanks.

I have the EOS300D and have been using a couple of Integral i-Pro 100x 1Gb CF cards for some time now. Very good and available from SVP for just over £14. I prefer to use 1Gb cards so that I don't have all my shots on just one big one - just in case something happens. They do up to 4Gb cards too but pricier than the deal posted above.

I shoot RAW which means bigger files but I have never had any chance of running low with these two cards.

Not quite such a cheap deal as the Amazon one published above but you can do the following with SVP.

Register for free then email them and ask for the permanent "HotUKDeals" discount. They normally agree very quickly and then next time you log on you will see a price reduction (not huge amounts) on all their items.

If you go through Quidco you will also get cashback (can't remember how much at the moment).

There are numerous ways to get 99p delivery with them too but you'll need to register to find out.

NOTE : 7DayShop - Some people have had a bad experience buying from them but they do have very competitive prices.

Depends how much photography you'll be doing on each outing, but I'd recommend getting 1 2gb card to start with and see from there if you need more. I doubt you'll need a 4gb, unless you're a pro. I would also recommend at some point you invest in a 2nd card in the freak case this one conks out on you.

Another site to try is picstop.

I've just ordered from a Sandisk Extreme III 2Gb card from Amazon for £14.74 - needed to spend another 26p to get free delivery.

Luckily I'd got a £2.50 Hot Match voucher from this forum:)
