I need to have 2 direct debits for my bank to get some offers. Anyone know companies that do direct debits?

Don't forget the direct debits will probably have to be paid each month, not just loaded on the system.
Charity donation £1 a month?

direct debits will be set up by just about any business that are going to take repeat payments from you.

i'd have thought just about any subscription service will let you pay by dd - films, magazines etc

depends what you like :-)

You just got a natwest current account?

Netflix isn't a direct debit, it's a recurring debit card payment

I've set one up before to pay a family member, not for any offers but I don't see why you couldn't try it.

You cant set up a DD from one bank to another for a regular payment, that's a standing Order. Does a similar job but subtly different.

I asked this question at Santander and they said it has to be 'live' and showing on your account not necessarily that payment is actually taken on it each month.

Au contraire: yes you can. For example, open a savings account with Tesco Bank (http://www.tescobank.com/savings/savingsaccounts/instantaccess/index.html) and you have the option of paying regular amounts into the account by direct debit.
