Hi I am having trouble with the Interpol scam where it asks for money .
It locked the PC , I have booted in safe mode and ran the kasperspy
recovery disc .
It found some Trojans and deleted them , I can now get online again but it's slow and won't let me install any new antivirus , or an online scanner
C drive still is locked , so is a clean install the way to go
I have tried malware bytes
Any help guys , thanks

Try a program called rkill that will stop any malware that is running allowing you to run a virus and a malware scan.
A Google search will help you find the download.
#4
Try downloading combofix. That gets rid of a lot of stubborn viruses.

Hello,

Run an online onetime free eset scan

http://www.eset.com/us/online-scanner/

Run fixes after,

Then install and run malwarebytes, https://www.malwarebytes.org/ , again run fixes.

Then install run ccleaner http://www.piriform.com/ccleaner/download

Then reinstall your chosen virus killer.

Then install and run spy+bot s+d http://www.safer-networking.org/

For something like Ransomware , you have no chance of getting at the cause of the problem if Windows is running ,as the popup stays on the screen and you cannot access anything . You must run Malwarebytes in SafeMode . These nastys are normally .exe files and mostly go into Application Data folder in your profile ......................it is a hidden file so you have to unhide it .
I've sorted many a nasty like this ,even the Cryptolocker malware using Malwarebytes ..............BUT in safemode .
Use Ccleaner to clear out your temp files and the internet cache files , thats where they start from .
Another method I do is to take out the virus'ed drive and link it to another PC or laptop and run all the anti-virus/malware from that .That can sort things out too .

Thanks for all the help . I ran cc cleaner again .I ran malware bytes again in safemode as Ricko suggested , found 1400 defects , deleted them. Then misconfig , start up found a my dialer and ozvop that were booting up on start up unticked them and it seems to be running a lot better , not sure where them files are lurking on the pc though. It`s my dads and he doesn`t use it for much so will gradually try and sort it ,so thanks to everyone for their input.
