Also how would you attach the blinds - what fixings do you use (obviously want to do it the cheapest way poss lol!
Cheers for any help x

Think you just need to shop around and get some local quotes. We have a biggish conservatory with large windows and double doors and I think we paid around £100 a side. They arefabric strips that are on tracks. If you have metal venetian blinds then they will be dearer.

DIY. We did. We bought lovely stainless steel blinds from I can't remember where, and just fitted them like we would anywhere else. They were screwed into the frame as close to the top as we could get, and we measured like three times before drilling, as you don't want spare holes in the upvc. We bought one blind per window, and it looked fab. Doing it this way means you can spend a bit more on some pukka blinds, and save on the fitting. We ended up having to do our mother in laws too, she was stunned at how much the big companies charge!

We have venetian blinds in ours which cost a small fortune many moons ago. I'd like the ones that actually go on the roof of the conservatory so that we could actually use the place as a normal room. Its too hot in summer and too cold in winter. We did get a price from Hilarys for £2000 - can you believe it? Thought about trying to make something myself with some sort of material/blackout lining - anyone have any ideas?

Can give you tel no. of a blinds fabricator in Brynmawr but maybe a bit far for him, but if you give him sizes, design/type etc maybe he'll give you an estimate/quote.
He's done a few of my customers conservatories and ordered himself one too, now have to buy wine, chocies and flowers.
Although I've not had chance to check his finished work he seems an ok guy but who knows?
PM me if tel no req'd.

Russ.
