Well if you remember the Vistaprint free £50 spend deal, well I was fortunate to get mine, well, in theory. Here's my issue, DPD were supposed to deliver Tuesday but didn't (incomplete delivery address was their excuse?!?!) so went on chat and it's been returned to vistaprint so they arranged a replacement order, only thing is in my original order I had 3 engraved pens, the re-order only contains one. Back on chat I go (for the fecking 20th time!) and the representative said I got the order as a goodwill gesture as it should have been cancelled and if I want the other 2 pens I had to pay. I was enraged by the representatives attitude so I quit the chat without taking it further yet. Am I right by saying because they accepted and posted my order they are obliged to repost ALL items in the original order regardless of if it was free or not? If I'm right I'll be calling them tomorrow. Anyone with any knowledge of this?

Tweet them, facebook them and email the CEO. You could also try writing to your local MP.
Not sure but I think a 30 minute session with a solicitor is free or try citizens advice.

To be honest I don't know much about the deal, but with it being free I'm betting "they reserve the right to withdraw the offer at any time".

That's shocking. So your saying the OP should be happy with the goodwill gesture..

I guess they could discharge their obligations by providing a full or part refund. How much did you pay?

Just so you all know I order several things from Vistaprint (and pay full price), and I only ordered 3 pens in the glitch, not even totalling £15 if I had paid full price for them, it's not like I don't give them business or I took complete advantage of the glitch, if they cancelled the order I would be okay with that but they didn't, I was asking if anyone knew that if the order was returned to them and they agreed to resend, if I was entitled to the complete order or not. For the purpose I ordered them I either need 3 pens or none, the occasion I need them for is soon and because the order wasn't delivered they offered express shipment with the replacement and I'm not ordering another 2 pens plus having to pay through the nose for express shipping, so I want my complete order or not at all. Im not asking for your opinion on whether I'm ungrateful or not. Im more enraged at the chat service operator that was completely rude and unprofessional. I was going to just tell the operator to cancel the order for one pen and forget it until he started being unprofessional.

If they had already engraved them, why would they hold 2 back? Surely it can't be changed and they would just end up being disposed of?

According to DPD they hold items for 14 days before returning to the sender. Are you sure it was sent in the firs place?

Vistaprint requested the order to be returned to them, I don't know why. I only contacted them because when I clicked through the email from dpd to rearrange delivery the url link was dead. Vistaprint said the pens would be destroyed and they would re-order. They only reordered 1 though and the original order was 3. They are for gift hampers to be given at a party my colleagues are throwing for 3 staff members who are retiring and I can't put 1 in 1 of the hampers and not in the other 2. We have all put money into making up the gift hamper and each basket has the same gifts inside so I need the 3 pens or none at all. I know they were free and I appreciate that, it means I can add a little thing extra that's personalised into their gift hampers.

Then you should have paid for the pens and not relied on a free website glitch. If I worked for vista print I would make sure the single pen was cancelled too, or engraved with "thanks for your hard work here is a pen I got for free"

Must be a nice veiw from up there on all these high horses, well I was right and the 3 pens are getting sent, girl on the phone looked back on chat conversation and said she had never seen a colleague be so unprofessional. Im sure you are all rushing to return all the freebies you've received thanks to glitches after judging me.....

You wasn't right or entitled to it. Vistsprint have sent them as a gesture of good will, not by legal right. You were lucky they could have easily not have sent anything.

So you have even been back on chat again today that's 21 times now demanding free stuff from a glitch that you have no right to have or even ask for. I have never heard anything like this before in my 10+ years on here you definitely are a one off oO
