Copying VGA camcorder video to DVD

Hi

I have a Mini-DV camcorder which doesnt have firewire. JVC-DVL20E

What is the easiest/most cost effective way for me to get video from this & onto my PC so I can copy to DVD?

One option I've thought about is buying an older second hand ATI "all in wonder" Video card but have a high end gaming card that this might interfere with.

All advice/products appreciated.

Are you sure it hasn't got firewire? I have the same model camera and mine has firewire. Its labelled dv out inside the rubber out socket at the back.

This will plug directly into any dvd recorder and you can transfer directly to dvd. Forget putting it the pc its tends to skip a lot of frames doing it that way. £cheapest is £41

You are absolutely right.

I've never even noticed the sockets at the back - only ever used the VGA ones at the front.

Just need to find a firewire cable now :-)

Happy Days
