So rather than just go on their website and find out the information, it's better to ask someone else to do it for you?

Email the membership team, even if you are not on the list of professions your employer might be part of their membership scheme so you can join through them.

you will need I.D and proof of business.
any business will do from self employment such as builders, shops, office, and even taxis.

they won't let you enter without a card so don't make a special trip to wonder around like I did once :)

Not everyone can so they won't..

Sometimes they have people signing anyone up in town centres and shopping outlets and they don't care what you're job title is.

They do come to Harrow Town Centre once in a while to sign up. Not as strict as they appear. Also if a new store is opening, they will sign up anyone.

by directing the OP to the website? At least my 'rude' comment was useful. Maybe some people just need hand holding through life and need everything spelling out in easy to read words. Would have taken longer to post the question rather then do any meaningful research first

My hubby falls into none of those categories yet we have membership I can't even remember how but just went in with his payslip and maybe some other proof of address or ID was a few years ago now.

so to OP I'd just go in and ask if you can be a member or you could call up and find out.

This is what I was sent via email of the Costco team ,

Further to your email.

I doubt a payslip will prove your self employed status. You will need business ID like a tax document, Insurance Document or something from an Accountant that proves you are self employed.

Many thanks.
