I was just looking for Caribbean cruises and wanted to know if I'll regret not to book a balcony or an ocean view? The price differences are huge.
Just wanted to hear your opinion, as I haven't been on a Cruise before.

Thanks for any help!

personally i dont think you spend all that much time in the cabin and its such a huge difference in price that I wouldn't pay the extra, but as I say that what I'd do

Me an' Mrs Fluffykins did a cruise a couple of years back. Apart from sleeping, sitting in the Cabin whilst Mrs F agonised over what to wear and later on doing things I'm not allowed to talk about 'cos kiddies may be online, we didn't much use the cabin.

Take a nice frock or two and a smart whistle, for the odd formal din-dins and prepare for some serious eating.

Enjoy

The first cruise I went on people were saying just book inside cabin which I did as the difference in price was huge. I did book inside cabin but I would never do that again it was horrendous. I
Go for window or if you can afford it or a balcony cabin, its definately worth the extra cash.
I always book a balcony cabin now, there are great deals on cruises too so look about as there can be a vast difference in price.

A balcony is always good, sitting having sundowners on the balcony before dinner is a must!

Avoid inside cabins, they can be very claustrophobic. If you can't afford a cabin with balcony then at least try to find a cabin with a window.

A useless fact for you; the Merchant Navy Shipping Act says that a Officers doing watches must have a cabin with windows, I worked on an older cruise ship and my cabin did indeed have windows, unfortunately they looked out into the galley and not the sea view I expected!

we have done a few cruises and always had an outside cabin - most of the cruise ships now have lots of outside cabins with their own other stuff inside on each floor
again the lower you are in the boat the cheaper it is as well - as if you have a view thats not 100% ie lifeboats etc in view are agn cheaper
some great last min deals are abt
but to be honest they are fab just to look out not necessarily sit out on them but i wudnt have an inside cabin
shop around and see what deals u can get
posh frocks are a must on some ships others u dont need to dress up at all if u dont want to
we did royal caribean in nov and had 4 formal nights and 4 semi formal nights - hubby hated dressing up like a penquin but i loved it ..... u pay for what u get .... GO FOR IT xx

We had a balcony cabin while it was nice as our cruise ship stopped everyday bar 2 I hardly spent anytime on the balcony except for the last day or the odd hour reading.

If there are more days at sea I would recommend a balcony otherwise just a window or even inside would have been fine.

if you can afford it defo get a balcony we have paid £700 more for the week for one and think its well worth it you dont need to go out of your room to the deck for air just open your door much better :)
