The current O2 Priority Moments app has a book on offer for a £1 at WH Smith. I went along to my local WH Smith in Exeter to pick up a copy yesterday and was told that they only stock 1 copy of it in the store - I asked the assistant if they had that copy and was told that it was showing up on the system, but when she took me over to the shelf it should have been on, it wasn't there, and she told me that it might have been stolen! Did anybody actually manage to get a copy of the book? Also, I thought I would pick up the £1 lunch deal there as well, only to find that the WH Smith in Exeter does not actually sell sandwiches, so no luck there either.

In my experience WH Smith have always had a problem, whether it's for a free drink, chocolate, book etc they always make some excuse.

I can bet you once the offer has finished they will have the book back on the shelf. I wanted to get my son a Mr Men book and i asked the clerk if they had it, she said no we ran out so it is out of stock.

I thought to myself i'll have a look myself and there is was, so i went back and said i thought you said it was out of stock she didnt have anything to say.

Because the book was on offer on O2 Priority moments and only available at WH Smith, I actually thought that they would have a pile of the books available for this offer, but I was led to one shelf where the only copy of the book was apparently meant to be - only to find that it was not there and then told that perhaps it had been stolen. This was the first time that I have tried to use my Priority moments app - at least I know that my local WH Smith in Exeter does not stock sandwiches, so the meal deal is definitely out for there. Thank you for your comment.

Just to follow on from what you said, my local one also does not allow the use of the meal deal. Is it a small WH Smith you go in to? as the small one like the ones that are in the train station etc don't offer the meal deal. You would usually have better luck in the bigger ones.

What book was it that you was looking for?

No, it was a large WH Smith in the centre of town in Exeter. The book on offer is called 'The Seven Sisters'.

Did you manage to get the book then?

The train station WH Smiths near me is the only one that does the meal deal (inc. O2 Priority), the big store doesn't do any food at all. I've never seen them have stock of any of the other O2 offers in either though, always say they ran out.
