Was going to pay the £20 to cover a Tefal actifry for 3 years. Has anyone had any experience with their insurance?

Surely the 12 months it comes with would cover that?
Exactly, the 12 months standard warranty would cover such faults. There really is no need to buy the 'insurance' hocka, save your money. :)

I have Currys Whatever Happens on my PC and my printer. I have had to use it for both of them. My PC had problems after the house next to mine was hit by lightning. My only gripe was that I was told I would get a laptop to use until my PC had been fixed but it never arrived. The guy that came to collect my PC was really rude about it but they did fix my PC in the time they said. My Kodak printer stopped printing a few weeks ago and as they no longer sell Kodak printers they exchanged it without any fuss for a HP printer. I don't see why you would have a problem if you had to take the Tefal back but I would read the small print carefully.

You'll need one with the actifry, 4 broke within 12 months eventually got my money back and bought the Philips airfryer!

It says on the web site you can buy the cover anytime during the first 12 months. I think I will leave it for now and see how I go.

When my washing machine broke they gave me a new higher model, no problems at all. I would recommend them.

I'd leave it for now, see if you even like the product first. We didn't like it when we bought it, couldn't get the chips cooked at all, we tried several different types of potatoes, tried various different things but, was a no go for us and my partner's mum as it happens who loved having a new kitchen gadget but, was no good for her either so that also got sent back.

The instant replacement is just that, its an on the spot replacement, no repairs. Even if its accidentally damaged.
Its their only cover I would ever buy. Its handy on things like printers. Get a paper jam? New printer.
The only downside I can see is that you only get a replacement up to the value of the item you bought. If the replacement item is now a higher price, you gotta pay the difference. It is unlimited tho so you get as many replacement s as you require. Like I said, handy on stuff like printers where some manufacturers will insist on fixing it or swoping out via courier
