I ordered an item from American Eagle. I received an email from Custom Clearance ltd asking for the import charges. the email was flagged as having failed the fraud detection checks. I tracked my item and it says in the delivery progress that I have been contacted for payment. Just wondering if anyone as had this had this before and can help as all numbers for the websites I can't get through to as it's out of work hours. Thank You

Have you had one before? It's just the fact the email was flagged that I'm a bit wary of paying and I can't get hold of anyone till monday!

Yes, but it doesn't say anywhere about her email being flagged or anything like that.

If you ordered from outside the UK you will be charged tax on the items,I have had to pay before on items bought online from USA.

I ordered from a USA magazine, Royal Mail have put a card through my door about a customs charge so paying on collection or online. I would wait until you can verify with whom you have purchased from, better to have some patience than risk it and be sorry.

do the reference number match up or are there none. does it say what the charge is for and how much if you've bought something for x amount and charges should be x amount then also check if the names and all details are correct if so I would assume either it's correct or spam email if they don't match up

Others mentioned the emails were flagged too. As I said before, to me it look perfectly genuine. You should also know if the amount if correct by calculating the tax due on your order.
