All I need it for is for the football, so 5 live, and my local BBC station

Thanks in advance for any replies

I bought a Philips Portable DAB Radio With 1GB MP3 Player model DA1102. There are a lot of negative reviews regarding DAB radios, especially portable DAB's however you will find most, if not all are related to signal reception. The model I purchased above was ideal for me and I couldnt fault it at all. I use it to listen to while I'm out walking and I keep it in my tracky pocket and I get a great signal using it. I also get around 50 radio station as well so for £29.99 I recon it was a good buy for me.

You should check out the DAB signal in your area first though.

My old Nevada, bought off Ebay, has FM and DAB which is very usefull for football on local radio. Dab radio's eat batteries. Mine uses two AA bateries for every six to eight hours. The best thing about Dab is the reception inside buildings where FM fails to reach. The worst thing is not being able to receive enough channels.

Was torn between the Phillips one above, which looked a bargain, and this one:

Seems to have good reviews, and I'm hoping will just about fit in my coat pocket
