Hello everyone,

I am new to this site and hope you can help me.

I am looking to buy a TV from dabs.com and want to use my american express. Unfortuantely dabs do no accept this card but do accept paypal or google checkout.

If I go via Paypal or google checkout, will I lose out on the cashback from a site like quidco or topcashback?

Your help is appreciated....

Thanks!

no you do not lose out on the cash back, what is important to either topcashback or quidco is that you completed the transaction and you made a payment irrespesctive of the payment method. same goes for getting cashback on an auction won on ebay and paid for by paypal.

I could be wrong but this is my opinion. I'm not sure if this has been resolved by the cashback site (or if they will be in the future), but just to warn you that if you want Quidco and pay by Paypal/Google Checkout (external payment system) then I don't think your transaction will be tracked fully, thus not receiving any cashback. This problem does not usually affect the internal payment systems (like dabs.com in this example). I can't find the thread but this "problem" in relation with Quidco has been posted. I'm not sure about TCB though.

In theory it could/should work but I think that, however the cashback system which tells us the current statuses are used/processed are not interlinked or have stopped tracking therefore your transaction may probably won't have been tracked properly.

Members who may have used cashback sites and paid with PP or GC may be able to offer some confirmation as to whether you are more likely to get the cashback.
