Yes, although it usually depends on who it's shipped with! I bought an item from India for £20 after import charges and admin charges worked out at nearly £100 far more than the item was worth. I tried to explain this to UPS but aren't interested.

yes i got hit with 35 for importing a monitor... happens regularly with imports if they can identify its a sale item.
