Guys. and gals.

I am after a decent hotel in central London for a bargain price.
Must be half decent (4*)?

Previously I have stayed in the Gurman Tower Hotel which was ace, but they are asking too much this time.

Weekend of 30-31 August. Looking at a £200 budget.
1 Adult, and 1 Child.

Over to you HOTUKERS..

I don't know about price-wise but I can recommend the DoubleTree (Hilton) Tower of London Hotel. I stayed there when it was a Mint Hotel and it was fantastic for the money. I went through one of those bargain-booking sites like Hotels.com or HotelConnect and got a free upgrade and full breakfast thrown in. Very modern accommodation (air-con rooms with AppleTV & internet access) with great service and friendly staff. Shower was a bit on the small size but spotlessly clean throughout.

I was initially concerned with reports on TripAdvisor about the breakfast room being too overcrowded with queuing involved but my experience was quite the opposite. Walked straight in, sat down and was almost immediately served. Clean, well presented and plenty of choice. I guess the timing was just right.

Very close to the Tower Hill station too (couple of minutes walk) but; typically; the weekend I stayed - the station was closed for maintenance! Hehe. Some you win, some you lose...

Worth taking a look though. Have a great stay, wherever you decide to go.

Cheers will investigate the doubletree. Surprised none else took up the hotel challenge!

we've always used Premier Inn hotels in London. Excellent value for money, very clean, comfortable beds and very friendly staff

Had a fab room from hotels.com in Newcastle, the Copthorne chain. Assuming we got a free upgrade to a £100+ room, because we got a massive suite for £46.20 ( not including breakfast). 10% off first orders from the app :)

The Montcalm at the Brewery was absolutely lovely when I've stayed there. Discounts when you pre-book so will be within budget (or should be). Website is https://www.themontcalmlondoncity.co.uk if you want to have a look. Hope you enjoy your weekend! :D
