Dell laptop or similar

An aunt has asked me to source a laptop for for her , normally loads of dell offers on here but I can't find many at the moment. Was going to order that XPS one at £440 but was too late and missed it.

Looking for an average spec, something like a Core 2 duo, 2GB+ RAM, 120+gig HDD. Nothing special.

Cheers, in advance.

all from dell depends on which processor you want to go for , cheapest on offer at the mo from DELL

unless you go for a reconditioned DELL from their website they are offering free delivery from there at present

£340 - only 1 GB RAM but you can get another gig for < £20. And it doesn't cost £60 + VAT for delivery!

Coming up as £446 for me for this one mate?

EDIT: never mind, seems to be ok now. What type of ram does this take? How much would it be to add an extra gig or 2 later?

you need to take it to the end of the buying process then the discounts will be taken off

Do you really think your aunt needs such high spec? I managed to nab a dell deal for just under £230 a few months ago (1GB ram, 80GB HDD, 2GHZ sempron processor) and it seemed to run fine with vista, but I switched to xp because I prefer it. My point is unless she's really into gaming or video editing you're probably better off getting a cheaper one (£250-£300) as laptops and other tech will just keep going down.

But if you need the high spec for something, ignore me.

Have a look around at ebuyer, play etc you could get a better deal than from dell.

I agree that a laptop like that would maybe suffice, but from my own experience and she would prob agree that she'd rather spend that extra bit and future proof a bit.

Any other deals came up? If not I will prob go for the £386 one.
