I am after a Dell Laptop for my mate, I have been trying to search for Dell Deals/Vouchers but for some reasons I am not able to see them around.. has the section or threads been removed from HUKD?

Could someone point me to Dell Deals or Vouchers for a high end laptop at £400? Been checking Pixmania one at £389 which includes 3 Gig of Ram and 250 Gig of HDD. Any better elsehwere? Do PC World do pricematch with Pixmania (hope not?).

Dell / Sony / HP - I'm fine with any of these as long as they have very good specs! Need to get one urgent.. do help me on this hunt.. Quidco or any cashback would be great to drop a tenner or two!!

Cheers!

'High End ' laptop offer for £400 does not exist ;) (probably £700-800 is the minimum) ...but there are some good offers for approx £400

What about Samsung/Lenovo/Toshiba/Asus ? All offer good very good quality and reliability.
I do not think Dell is the brand you should be solely focused on - I wouldn't buy anything from them unless it was very cheap (excluding XPS series).

Thanks so much for those links, personally I prefer dell coz I have used couple of laptops and found them to be very reliable and obviously cheaper for the configuration I have had. No experience with other brands.

Looking for 2 - 3GB Ram n 160 to 250HDD, but definitely Core2Duo with atleast 15.4, if you can recommend any other brand out of your experience for under £400, I guess it should work out perfect. Thanks and Cheers! Rep added! :thumbsup:

Great config.. and great price IMO!

* Intel Core 2 Duo T5800
* (2GHz, 800MHz FSB, 2MB Cache)
* Genuine Windows Vista(R) Home Premium
* 3GB Memory
* 250GB Hard Drive

1. Sorry, I would love to help you more but I cannot be objective :) - I would never advise anybody to choose Dell over Samsung,Lenovo,Toshiba,Asus or Sony ... unless Dell was half price of the others.

2....users report poor battery life of the Dell

3.If you want the Dell, take it - your monnies,your laptop :whistling:
