The Dell one most liekly if you get rid of the Warranty and make it 2Gb of RAM

If you need decent graphics just buy a card and plug it in yourself
Every now and again Aldi come out with some really impressive deals on base unit PC's. Their next one is out on Thursday 2nd August, and they usually fly off the shelves. Its a little more £399.99 than you wanted to spend, but worth it I think

There is a full advert in this months computeractive

Ah a Medion PC from Aldi

I'd rather stick my balls in a vice and tell my girlfriend she's fat
The Dell is a pretty good deal.

Goes as low as £188 delivered, if you reduce support and remove monitor.
(provided you have a monitor you can still use).

Would be tempted to take the £35 upgrade for the x1300 pci-e card.
(dedicated graphics card always better than onboard)

Might be a better idea to get it with XP installed
E-value code for that is 305-D07C12XP

If your set on Vista then you will want to get the extra 1GB ram for sure.

The various Dell deals and evalue codes are listed here :

cheers for advice guys. Can i also ask all you techies if you know what motherboard i would need to buy to replace a abit kv7. don't know what i'm looking for cos a newbie at techie stuff. Need to fix my old comp to sell it to help finance new one.
Is this a good system then?

AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core 4400+ Windows XP Professional 19" Wide TFT E198WFP 2048MB 250GB 256MB ATI® Radeon® X1300 Pro 16 X DVD +/- RW £387

or was considering

AMD® Athlon™ 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 5000+
Genuine Windows Vista™ Home Premium
1024MB 667MHz Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM [
256MB ATI® Radeon® X1300 Pro PCI Express graphics card

maybe if i phone dell they might change vista for xp
If your budget id up to £400ish then you should look at the C2Duo vostro.

Downgrade the service and maybe upgrade the graphics to x1300.
