Desperate to unlock Samsung j700i currently on vodafone

Please can someone help i am trying to unlock my samsung j700i. I have tried the method mentioned on this site. Howevever when i try and enter the code it comes up with 'inputs do not match'. Only my network lock is active.

I would really appreciate anyones help.

The method i have tried is:
Method:
Before you start, make sure the battery is charged and all security codes or PIN codes or watever are disabled so we dont have any code prompts interfering with this method.

1. Turn off the mobile phone.
2. Insert a "Non-accepted" SIM card (sim card that wont work) half way in so that when you turn on the phone, it still says "Insert SIM".
3. Turn on the phone.
4. Enter the following code and wait patiently for phone to reset:

*2767*2878#

5. Once reset has completed, the phone will still say "Insert SIM". This is where you need to push the sim card all the way in. You can use a paperclip or a tiny object to push it in if you have difficulty. IT IS IMPORTANT THAT THE PHONE REMAINS ON AT THIS STAGE (TRY NOT TO LET BATTERY FALL OUT) IF BATTERY FALLS OUT, DO NOT PANIC, JUST START FROM STEP 2 AGAIN.
6. Enter the following code and wait patiently for phone to reset:

*2767*3855#

7. After reset is completed, SIM should work and also the reception. Don't get excited, its not unlocked yet.
8. Now we want to make it permanent. First check what locks need to be deactivated with the following code:

*#7465625#

------------------------------
a)
If Network Lock is "Active", put in the following code:

*7465625*638*00000000*00000000#
Message should be "Network Lock has been personalised" or similar.
Then:

#7465625*638*00000000#
Message should be "Network Lock deactivated" or similar.

------------------------------
b)
If Subset Lock is "Active", put in the following code:

*7465625*782*00000000*00000000#
Message should be "Subset Lock has been personalised" or similar.
Then:

#7465625*782*00000000#
Message should be "Subset Lock deactivated" or similar.

------------------------------
c)
If SP Lock is "Active", put in the following code:

*7465625*77*00000000*00000000#
Message should be "SP Lock has been personalised" or similar.
Then:

#7465625*77*00000000#
Message should be "SP Lock deactivated" or similar.

------------------------------
d)
If CP Lock is "Active", put in the following code:

*7465625*27*00000000*00000000#
Message should be "CP Lock has been personalised" or similar.
Then:

#7465625*27*00000000#
Message should be "CP Lock deactivated" or similar.

------------------------------
e)
If SIM Lock is "Active", put in the following code:

*7465625*746*00000000*00000000#
Message should be "SIM Lock has been personalised" or similar.
Then:

#7465625*746*00000000#
Message should be "SIM Lock deactivated" or similar.

If you've been with vodafone for more than a year just ring them up and ask for an unlocking code, they give you a code and you type it in whilst your phone is on and it should get unlocked.

I had a problem with doing my sons & got the following reply, it's probably my thread that you are following in which I was helped by shauneco.

"Basically the SP lock needs to be removed before the Network lock is disabled, so you need to turn the Network lock back to active, disable the SP lock and then disable Network lock."

No,fraid not,doubt you'll get a free unlock solution,it can be done,but it would cost :-(

Market stall, online etc ,that seems to be only option at the mo unfortunately as they are the new updated version of the j700's

Will that be the same for 3 mobile phones ??

Not sure what you mean...3 mobile phones?

It depends which mobile phone you are refering to,not a j700 anyhow :?

Hi All - was anyone able to unlock their samsung j700i on vodafone via a code for free?
#11
Any update on this? Need to get one unlocked, Cheers.

We contacted Vodafone who promised to sort it out for free, but they couldn't do it via their normal method so customer services tried contacting Samsung, who took so long to reply that we gave up. A man on Corby market did it for a fiver.

if network unlocks codes are free, why aren't they published freely on the 'internet' or included with the phone at the point of purchses.

This has been discussed a lot and I have never seen a solution better than, 'pay £5 to a man on Corby market'.
