Digital camcorder deal please

I would like to upgrade my analogue camcorder to a digital one and wondered if anyone has seen any good deals for good quality ones. Not sure which type I want, i.e.. DVD or tape.

Any advice/deals would be much appreciated!

A cheap DVD camcorder costs around £250 and miniDV around £160

If I were you, I would spend a little extra and go for the DVD camcorder.
Thanks, my budget is £300 ish so that would be ok. What make would anyone recommend?
I recommend Sony, I've used them for a while, they are very good. I also used to sell these, and we had far fewer problems with the proper named brands, rather than a cheaper non-brand name.
